#FM22 MANCHESTER UNITED REBUILD! We've seen Erik ten Hag play beautiful football at Ajax but how will he do at Man Utd?! In the video, we look at the results as I rebuild Manchester United by making "Erik ten Hag like" signings, and ten Hag tactical analysis with FM22 tactic. And lastly, we play a CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL to see how the tactic plays out in Football Manager 2022.
Erik ten Hag has typically st up his Ajax side up with a 4-3-3/4-2-3-1 formation on paper, of course, players' position on the field is most important as ten Hag uses positional play. Essiesntly, Positional Play is the attempt to create superiority in areas of the pitch either through overloads, positional or isolation.
ten Hag looks for width, verticality (for example counter-movements), decoy runs and manipulation of opposition presses/blocks. From goal-kicks, Ten Hag’s Ajax build from a deep position with the keeper plus two centrebacks. This offers a conventional build-up structure – a solid foundation to work with. The centrebacks are typically comfortable with the ball and can regularly make simple progressive passes. But Ajax and Onana are no strangers to hitting the ball long on occasions (as can see from the pass-map in video).
